Tips Get Web Traffic the Right

Often when people start to build traffic, they get a lot of tips from a lot of sources on how to do this and that. They try and jump on the new trend of traffic generation. The buzz words of traffic generation nowadays are Twitter, Facebook, and social media like Digg and StumbleUpon. Also they here about the power of article marketing, and forums. They also want to JV and get traffic that way. The problem is while doing all this stuff they lack focus and plan. They often get confused, and when all their work don’t add up, the feel depleted and wonders if this internet marketing stuff really works. I see this not a problem of too little traffic, but of too little focus and too many distractions. Part of the reason why this is are:

1) There is no plan. Imagine going to war, or coaching a football game without a plan. You just go out there and “try your best” and “work your butt off” with no rhyme or direction. Imagine telling your football team to “Line up where-ever”, and tell your quarterback to “Just throw wherever”, and your wide receivers to “Run wherever.” It doesn’t work. You need a plan. You always need a plan to get anything done, that you don’t get done by “accident”.

2) Focus your traffic building efforts. You can’t do everything. If you are focusing on free traffic generating techniques then this applies to you. There are only so much time in the day. You can’t do everything. If you try to do everything, you won’t do anything well. So focus. Do you want to focus on Article marketing? On social media? Getting JV Partners? You are better off on picking one strategy, and perfecting it. If you are working on paid traffic strategies, this applies to you as well. You only have so much money to spend and you can only manage so many things at once.

3) Create a system, then move on to the next thing. Once you focus and master a traffic technique well enough that you get consistent results. It’s time to think about outsourcing it, or adding other traffic generating techniques. Once you master a technique, you should be able to do it fairly quickly. You have to create a system that’s so dead simple, you become almost a robot. A traffic generating robot.
